The M2TS container with filename extension .MTS or .m2ts is also used in AVCHD format, which is a high definition digital video camera recorder format. The M2TS container contains videos recorded using AVCHD camcorders, such as the Sony's HDR-SR(xx)series models. Panasonic camcorder, Canon camcorder and other brands of AVCHD camcorders also store recorded video in M2TS container format. But how to import these video recorded by camcorder (MTS, M2TS, AVCHD) to iTunes for plaly on iTunes, iPad, iPod, iPhone, Apple TV, etc. It is frist to convert mts to iTunes or convert m2ts to iTunes friendly video to watch on iPad, iTunes Player. iPod, iPhone, Apple TV, etc.

 

If you are Mac User, download mts to iTunes Converter for Mac, while AVCHD to itunes converter for PC user. Both windows user and mac user do as follow:

Step1: Download and install mts/m2ts to iTunes Converter, launch it and follow the steps below.

 

Step2: Click "Add Video(s)" button to import the mts or m2ts files you want to import to iTunes and you can batch import mts or m2ts files in one time.

 

Step3: From the drop-down list of "Profile", you can choose “Common Video > MOV”, “Common Video > MP4”, “HD Video > HD MP4” “Apple iPad > any video”, “Apple iPod > any video”, “iPhone > any video”, “Apple TV > any video” as output format that friendly supported by iTunes (including latest iTunes 10).

 

Tips: Want to directly import the converted mts to iTunes or m2ts files to iTunes automatically, just click "Options" button and automatic pop-up “options” window, then tick "Add output files to iTunes library automatically".

 

Step4: Set destination folder by clicking "Browse" button to save the importing iTunes video files.

 

Step 5: Convert mts to iTunes or m2ts to iTunes by click "Convert" button. Just a few minutes, you can get the gorgeous videos from mts/m2ts to iTunes supporting video format.

 

If you choose the "Add output files to iTunes library automatically" option by “options” button, you already finish importing mts to iTunes or m2ts to iTunes. But if not, please do the step 6 to import mts to iTunes or m2ts to iTunes.

 

Step6: Open iTunes, click "File" option to Add Folder to Library, then the converted files from mts or m2ts Videos can be imported to iTunes Library
