Many friends want to watch DVD movies on their Archos including Archos AV500, Archos AV700, Archos 404, Archos 504, Archos 604, Gmini 402, etc., but they can't find good way. Step1: Download the latest version of Archos Video Converter (PCHand Media Converter Pro), and install it.

 

Step2: Launch your Archos video converter program by double-clicking on the icon. Insert the DVD that you want to convert into your DVD-ROM drive.

Step3: Click “add DVD” button to import DVD from DVD Rom/Folder which you want to convert to archos video. By the way, you can tick "Use 'DVD Navigation Mode' to search valid titles", and then select "Search Main Title"or "Search All Valid Titles". This is used for ripping latest copy protected DVDs (99 titles) to your Archos video.

 

Step4: From the "Profile" drop-down list, navigate to the "PMP" category and choose the most appropriate output format including Archos MPEG-4 video(.mp4), Archos AVI video(.avi), Archos WMV video (.wmv) according to your PMP device.

 

Step5: Set output directory to save archos video files by clicking the Browse... button

1.Turn your archos on. Plug the USB cable into the device. Insert the opposite end of the USB cable into your computer's USB port.

 

2.Open Windows Media Player. Click "Help," then "About," to determine which version of Windows Media Player you have. If it's not version 10 or higher, you'll need to download the latest version to sync with your Archos

 

3.Click on the upper-tab labeled "Sync." and select the videos you want to sync to your Archos. Click on the check box next to the file name to add it to the list. After each addition, the file will appear underneath the device, in the right-side bar.

4.Click "Start Sync" to begin the synchronization process. When the synchronization process is complete, you will be notified. Close Windows Media Player. Right-click on the green arrow in your lower-right corner taskbar. Select "Safely Remove." Wait for the prompt to unplug your Archos 605 from the computer.

 

After sync your DVD to your Archos, you could watch DVD moveis on archos.
